Anais Alvarado

Actress, dancer and model born in Venezuela. Living in London since summer 2010, right after graduating from an MA in TV and Cinema Acting at TAI in Madrid, Spain. Previously, Anais worked in TV and radio in Caracas, Venezuela, after obtaining her degree in Social Communications (Audiovisual Arts) from Andrés Bello Catholic University (UCAB).

 

Most of her acting experience has taken place onstage. In parallel, Anais has also participated in several short and and full length films, both in Venezuela and in the UK. She played Sibel in The Dissapearance of Lenka Wood, a film directed by Paul Tanter and Daughter 3 in the film Tierra Caliente, a coproduction between Mexico and the UK, directed by Laura Plancarte. She was also seen in Channel 4's Toast of London acting alongside Matt Berry.

 

Anais trained as a dancer since the age of 4, starting with classical ballet, then moving on to rhythmic gymnastics, jazz, salsa, tango, and contemporary dance. She has performed in many physical theatre shows where her contortion skills and improvisational comedy training have been great assets to the project. Anais is currently performing and producing POLE, a phyiscal theatre and pole dancing piece that will be showing at the UNDERBELLY in the Edinburgh fringe festival. For tickets please click here

 

Anais has worked as a commercial and promotional model in Venezuela, Madrid and London. She is a registered yoga teacher and speaks fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese.
